Jorge da Silva Gonçalves

PhD Student in Machine Learning

ETH Zurich

Hi there, I’m Jorge!

(Pronounced the Portuguese way: ZHOR-zhe /ˈʒɔɾ.ʒɨ/)

I am a PhD student in Machine Learning at ETH Zurich, supervised by Prof. Julia Vogt (ETH) and Prof. Stephan Mandt (UC Irvine). My research lies at the intersection of generative models and clustering, with a particular focus on diffusion models across different modalities, and applications in healthcare.

I am currently a visiting student at the University of California, Irvine, working with Prof. Stephan Mandt’s group until the end of June.

Feel free to reach out to collaborate or exchange ideas! I am also open to internship opportunities.
